Bach Flower Remedies

Home » Bach Flower Remedies

Bach Flower Remedies were developed by Edward Bach, a homeopath, back in the 1930s. The manufacture of the remedies is homeopathic in nature.  The classical method of diluting Brandy with water and a small amount of the flower essence results in a liquid containing 50:50 water and brandy with traces of flower material.  It is believed that the remedies transmit to the user the energetic or vibrational nature of the flower. The remedies are most commonly used to treat emotional and spiritual ailments, like depression or anxiety.  Bach  believed that the dew of a flower contains healing properties of that flower.  The most commonly used and widely known Bach Flower essence is Rescue Remedy.  Generally the therapy is used by homeopaths and naturopaths although other complimentary therapists do sometimes use them.
