Hats off to the French who have carried out one of the largest studies on the impact of Complementary Alternative Medicine on the quality of life of patients with inflammatory bowel disease. The study was published in the European Journal of Gastroenterology and results showed that IBD patients reported an improvement in quality of life following the use of the following CAM treatments: diet based therapies, body-based therapies, homeopathy, traditional medicine and naturopathy.
